  • 12 Days Tanzania Honeymoon and Zanzibar beach holiday tour

    Day 1: Arrival – Arusha

    On arriving Kilimanjaro international airport, our guide will meet you and drive you to Kibo Palace hotel for overnight stay.

    Day 2 : Arusha – Tarangire National park

    Breakfast at your hotel followed by a briefing session on the tour program with Asili Adventure Safaris tour guide. Depart Arusha town and drive into Tarangire National Park to arrive in good time for lunch, Afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stat at Tarangire Sopa Lodge

    This park offers wide panoramas of open acacia woodland and grass savanna, where huge herds of Elephants (often two hundred strong) and other unique residents, such as fringe-eared Oryx and Lesser Kudu roam free, Lion, Cheetah and Leopard.

    Day 3 : Tarangire - Lake Eyasi

    After breakfast, drive to lake eyasi with picnic lunch. In some ways similar to the Amish, a handful of tribes in Tanzania have resisted modernization and for the most part remain traditional.Hadzabe: Near Lake Eyasi, the Hadzabe are a small tribe who remain hunters and gatherers and speak a click language. It is important to visit them and learn about their culture, they will show you how to make a fire without matches and take you on a hunt with bows and arrows. Dinner and overnight at Tindiga Tented Camp

    Day 4: Lake Eyasi Serengeti National park

    After breakfast with lunch box, leave Lake Eyasi for Central Serengeti via Ngorongoro conservation, visit Olduvai Gorge, this is an archaeological site made famous by Dr. Leakey family. Game is viewed as we proceed to Serengeti Mbarangeti Tented lodge for dinner and overnight stay

    Day 5: Serengeti National park

    Full days spent exploring the park. Morning and after noon gamedrives are offered. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Lodge or MbarangetiTented lodge

    Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park covering 14,736 sq km and is adjoining with the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya. With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other hoofed species (which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan, Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe and warthog), the Serengeti is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area.
    Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and kori bustard being common, a variety of larks, finches, and raptors can be seen but the most distinctive small bird is the lilac breasted roller.

    Day 6: Serengeti - Ngorongoro.

    We view game as we drive southeast up into the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation .Full afternoon crater tour followed by dinner and overnight stay at a lodge Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge by the crater rim.

    The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena.
    It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift valley 15 to 20 million years ago. When it peaked in size 3 million years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro today

    Day 7 Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National park

    Depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Lake Manyara national park for a full afternoon gamedrives with packed lunchs.Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Manyara serena lodge

    Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake that is part of the Rift Valley wall; the lake is at the base of this dramatic western escarpment giving it a beautiful and serene setting. In addition to this peaceful setting, Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions and its hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many other places. Lake Manyara also hosts thousands of flamingos at certain times of the year and has diverse vegetation ranging from savannah, to marshes and acacia woodland, enabling a variety of wildlife habitats including butterflies.

    Day 8: Lake Manyara – Zanzibar

    Breakfast at leisure then proceed to Arusha town where you take lunch before proceeding to Kilimanjaro airport to board your afternoon flight to Zanzibar. On arriving Zanzibar, our representative will meet you and drive you to Ocean Paradise Beach resort to start your beach holiday.

    Day 9/10/11.Zanzibar

    Days spent sunbathing and relaxing in the white sand beach resort. Optional excursion to Stone town, Prison Island, Spice tours, Sunset cruises can be arranged at an extra cost.

    Day 12 – Zanzibar – Nairobi/Kilimanjaro/Departure

    Transfer to the airport to board your flight arriving in good connecting time with your home bound flight.

    When to go on a Tanzania safari
    As a rule the climate is warm and humid at the coast, cool and humid in the interior.

    The rainy season is divided into two periods: the long rains fall between March and June, whereas the short rains take place between October and November. In general, temperatures are highest during January, February and March.
