TANZANIA PHOTO SAFARI - HIGHLIGHTS OF TANZANIA:
Experience an extraordinary journey across volcanic highlands, semi
desert and the Serengeti Plains. Here you will find some of the best
game viewing in the world because more than 95,000 square miles of
extremely diverse ecosystems are protected. Explore Tarangire, which
is famous for ancient baobab trees that dot the prehistoric
landscape. View elephant herds that often number in the hundreds and
perhaps catch a glimpse of one of 35 species of antelope. Take
several game drives through Serengeti National Park, where you might
watch a pride of lions surround a water buffalo from your safari
vehicle. Finally, visit the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, the
eighth wonder of the world, where you’ll enjoy a vast concentration
of wildlife because game viewing is good year-round.
9 DAYS ARUSHA - TARANGIRE - NGORONGORO CRATER - SERENGETI
Day 1: Arrival - Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport. “Jambo!” Welcome to Tanzania. On
arrival, you will be met by an African Sermon Safaris representative
who will escort you to your hotel for the night on bed and
breakfast, Serena Mountain Village Lodge.
Day 2 & 3: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
A safari briefing at breakfast prepares you for an exciting
adventure. Depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the river
that flows through the length of the park and provides a constant
water source for the thousands of animals making their home here.
Enjoy lunch at your lodge and a late afternoon game drive. The next
day, take the morning and afternoon to explore the beauty of the

Day 4: Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
You will have an early morning start to the Ngorongoro Conservation
area, host to the “birthplace of man.” It is also home to a unique
intact caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive in time for lunch
followed by a half day game drive at the floor of the crater. Return
to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, (BLD)
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy breathtaking views of the crater as the sun rises. After
breakfast, descend 2000 feet below the rim of the crater for game
viewing. The crater is home to abundant game, including the “Big
Five," as well as the black rhino, jackal and Cape buffalo. Return
to the lodge for lunch followed by a visit to Masai village.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park
This morning drive to Olduvai Gorge for a visit to the site of the
remains of prehistoric man. Continue your journey to the world’s
best-known park, the Serengeti. Named after the Masai word,
“Siringet” for endless plains of short and long grass, the Serengeti
is well known for its large prides of lion, cheetah, packs of wild
dog and wildebeest. Take lunch at the lodge and later in the
afternoon, enjoy a game viewing drive. Serengeti Sopa Lodge, (BLD).
Day 7 & 8: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy two full days with morning and late afternoon game drives. The
next day you have the opportunity to enjoy an early morning balloon
safari (extra cost: $500 per person) over the Serengeti Plains,
which includes a bubbly champagne breakfast upon landing. Or you may
take an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge.
Return to the lodge where you have the remainder of the morning at
leisure before lunch and a late afternoon game drive. Serengeti Sopa

Day 9: Serengeti National Park - Kilimanjaro Airport - Departure
After an early morning breakfast you will take a flight to Arusha
where you will connect with your flight back home, (B)

The cheapest way to experience Tanzania is by choosing a camping
safari. These type of safaris are excellent for a person who enjoys
outdoor activities! With our camping tours, we use our 4 wheel
safari vehicles with roof hatches excellent for sight seeing.
Our camping safaris are Private and not group tours. This means that
it will only be you with your travel companion on our safari
vehicle, of course accompanied with our knowledgeable and friendly
guides. Our safaris can be arranged at any date.

When to go on a Tanzania safari
As a rule the climate is warm and humid at the coast, cool and humid
in the interior.
The rainy season is divided into two periods: the long rains fall
between March and June, whereas
the short rains take place between October and November. In general,
temperatures are highest
during January, February and March.
